Goose Eggs Available

It's goose egg time! At Spillanelane, every goose egg comes directly from our two resident geese Emmie and Lucy.
A goose egg offers a richer and more substantial cooking experience than standard chicken eggs. Their size, texture, and flavor make them ideal for baking, custards, and any recipe that benefits from extra structure and creaminess. Because geese lay only a limited number of eggs each spring (between March and early June), availability is naturally limited. Each egg represents a short seasonal opportunity to work with an ingredient that is not commonly found in stores.
Goose eggs are also valued for their strong shells, which makes them an excellent choice for creating traditional decorated eggs known as Pysanky. Check out Martha Stewart's guide to creating these intricate eggs, or maybe some other articles on blowing out an egg, decorating with tie dye, or even shaving cream.

If you are cooking, crafting, or simply looking for something uncommon and carefully sourced, these eggs are a special option.
